Crochet Hot Air Balloons
Hot air balloons..., I like them...
All proceeds (including incurred costs) from the sales of these infant elf hats go toward NICU services at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre through the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation as part of a fundraiser in memory of my son Finn..
These hats are one of a kind. Each one is made with a lot of love for the craft and attention to detail. Though some are similar to ones I've made in the past, there is no pattern. For my fibre arts in Thunder Bay, ON I use skeins of yarn from small batch artisan dyers, so there's only so much of it in existence. The variations are what make them special.
Designs grow in my garden: foliage, flowers, herbs and vegetables appear on my hats. Some decorations are felted wool, others crocheted; all coming together to create something beautiful.
I use soft yarn to be gentle on newborn heads, and hope to create not just a beautiful photography prop, but a keepsake to save. Each hat comes in it's own hand painted hat box.
Please contact me for more information, or visit my Etsy shop to purchase a hat. New hats are being made all the time, so check in regularly to view new creations.
